Fair usage policy

In some countries, data network operators limit their users based on a "Fair Use Policy" which implies limiting the speed with which they download data onto their networks. This is done when the network is saturated (too many users in one area) or when there are events that congest network traffic (music, sports events, parades, etc.)

Notwithstanding the above, at TeamVOX Global MiFi we offer the best possible speed on the network with the best signal at all times, so if you have a package contracted with us and you are not browsing in bulk, your speed is not seen affected.

If you consume your packet or daily data quota, the system will degrade the connection to align with the policies of global operators. Therefore, we recommend taking care of your data by not streaming excessively, or downloading updates to applications or operating systems of your devices and activating additional data packages if you fall into this situation so as not to affect your level of service.

Usage tips

The device is not waterproof, so you should not use it in the rain, much less immerse it in any liquid. The guarantee of the equipment is invalid due to intrusion of water or liquids, so we recommend that you handle it carefully near sources, pools, rivers, the sea and other bodies of water. Also take care that the equipment does not suffer falls, shocks or any other impact that could damage the screen or the body of the device. The warranty does not apply if you open the equipment or attempt to repair it yourself. We recommend contacting technical support to check and repair your equipment.

If you use the Power Bank functionality, to preferably charge Cell phones or Tablets, the power consumption will be much higher and the service life can be dramatically shortened. Charge your equipment only to an acceptable level that allows you to continue until you find a more stable power source (Electrical Contact). Otherwise, you can drain your TVX-G03's battery and run out of connectivity.

Consider that you can connect up to 5 devices in the hotspot of your TVX-G03 and therefore, the transfer speed and available bandwidth is distributed among the connected devices, so if any of them is consuming a lot of data, it will affect the performance of other connected users, and may generate a poor user experience.

The device can withstand up to 13 hours of continuous use. Also if you want to save power, we suggest you turn it off while not in use.

Please note that your TVX-G03 has a 5350mAh, 2033Wh high capacity battery. So you should handle it with the corresponding precautions. Do not generate a short circuit, use good cables in both USB ports, do not immerse it in liquids or use water and solvents to clean it, etc. Follow the aircraft safety recommendations and turn off the device before boarding the plane.

It is recommended that you charge your TVX-G03 at night after turning it off, preferably. Although the battery does not generate a memory effect, it is very healthy for any type of battery or accumulator, which are fully discharged and fully charged, in each charge cycle.

It is normal for the device to raise its temperature if it is stored in a poorly ventilated pocket or place (inside a closed car without ventilation exposed to sunlight). It is common for some jackets or clothing to inhibit the correct transmission and reception of radio signals, so the device will have a harder time communicating and this generates greater consumption of electrical current. If it exceeds the supported temperature range (-20ºC to 50ºC) of operation, it may cause a failure and the device will protect itself. In case of low temperature, you should raise it in some internal pocket of your clothes, taking care not to have contact with the skin. In case of extreme high temperature, you should cool the device, put it in a ventilated place and turn it off until it normalizes.

Common Problems

Please have the following information ready before calling our Technical Support area.

  3. Geographical location (Country, Region, city or nearby town, mountain, river, etc.)
  4. Please indicate if your TVX-G03 device displays any error messages.
  5. The date / time of abnormal behavior or disconnection.

Please make sure that your device has enough battery or is connected to the charger so that our consultants can remotely diagnose the device and find the fault as soon as possible.

Make sure that the power button operates correctly and that the device has enough battery to successfully cycle the power. IF the button is damaged, we ask that you contact customer support to send your equipment for diagnosis / repair.

If the device does not react and the power button is undamaged, charge the device and the screen of the device should show the battery charge level. Occasionally, undergoing a full discharge and remaining uncharged for a long time, may affect battery performance and require more time than normal to charge. IF that's the case, you'll need to wait for the device to be 100% charged before operating it.

Finally, if the device has a problem during an update and interrupted it in advance (It did not show the message "Update successful") you can try the following procedure:

Make sure there are no cables connected to the device.

Press the power button for 30 seconds

Immediately plug in the connected charger cable.

After 2 minutes, an image like the following should appear on the screen, indicating that the battery is charging.

Once in this state you can turn it on again.

Please make sure that the WiFi icon is visible in the upper left corner of the screen of your TVX-G03:

In the event that it is not displayed, you must restart the TVX-G03 equipment and wait for it to display it, once the network connection cycle has finished. In case of performing a Firmware update, it is normal that the WiFi icon is not displayed, so you will have to wait for the device to finish the update cycle and the message “The Update was successful” is displayed on the screen.

Make sure you can find the WiFI network that you configured on the TVX-G03. It is important that you make sure to enter the correct password on your cell phone or mobile device that you want to connect to the TVX-G03. In case it is not correct, some computers try to reconnect automatically without success. Please, if this is the case, select the TVX-G03 network on your cell phone or tablet and click on the "forget this network" option so that the same equipment allows you to enter the password again, once again.

There are places where cellular communication is poor by nature. Bodies of water such as lakes and rivers, forests and rain forests, mountains, islands, basements and very tall buildings, tunnels and subways, subways and trains. etc. It is always recommended that if you are visiting a location like this, restart your device so that you can be sure that it will search for the most suitable and best quality signal available at your location. Always check that the network indicator is on.

Saving data recomendations

Cell phones and Tablets based on Android are very diverse in the implementation of the operating system of each manufacturer and therefore, the differences in the configurations vary according to the model of the equipment, For this reason, we present a series of recommendations so that you can review them according to your teams, to achieve the same effect. This is for reference only

  1. The Automatic Synchronization functionality must be found in the Configuration of the equipment in question. It is also possible that it is in the configuration of some of the installed applications.
  2. Some devices are configured by default to update the installed applications once connected via WiFi. This is configured by default when installing applications.
  3. Some Streaming applications may be configured to download content when connecting via WiFi.
  4. On cell phones that support downloading movies and videos, the applications will download content when connected via WiFi.
  5. Consider some social networking applications, which download multimedia when connecting via WiFi or make use of streaming and are continuously sending data about their location and preferences to their manufacturers.

You have to check 3 things mainly:

  1. Disable background update option
  2. Disable app updates in iTunes and AppStore
  3. Close data sync using iCloud.

Your TVX-G03 device provides you access and connectivity to the world via WiFi for your different devices. In many cases, most Android and iOS devices are configured by default to update their applications when connected via WiFi.

If this is the case for you, you should be careful when connecting your mobile device with the TeamVOX MiFi service, since by doing so, your mobile will be able to start downloading applications and updates without your noticing it and this will affect the balance of your bill.

To avoid the above, we have put filtering functionality on your TVX-G03 device that blocks connections to update sites and app sync. This is what we know as "Data Protection" and you can manage it from the screen of your device. By default it is active, but if you have the need to download an application from the application store, you can temporarily disable it from the "More ..." option on your TVX-G03.

We also recommend that you manually choose the option to disable automatic updates on your devices, to ensure that no data is consumed from your plan when connecting your device via WiFi with the TVX-G03

The TeamVOX Global MiFi Service determines which is the best Carrier in your location, to offer you the best possible data quality. However, due to the operating conditions of cellular networks, you may not be able to count on 4G everywhere you are and the best option available at the time is 3G.

In some places where the cellular signal is weak, it is not possible to support the data traffic, so you can only have voice service on your cellular phone. This is especially in places with 2G coverage.

TeamVOX does not restrict the use of applications or the exchange of content, however there are restrictions on applications and their manufacturers to be used in some countries, such as Facebook or Google in China. Also some content is restricted based on their location, for example Hulu or NFL Game Pass that do not work more than in their place of origin.

TeamVox Mifi App

The TeamVOX MiFi app is available in the Android and Apple iOS app stores. You can also download it to your cell phone using the QR code displayed on the screen of your TVX-G03 device.

Using your browser (Chrome / Safari / Firefox / etc.) you can capture the QR code and the browser will take you to the download site where you can choose the store that corresponds to your phone.

You must grant the corresponding permissions on your cell phone, to guarantee the operation of the application. Failure to do so can cause problems and lack of functionality, so you should verify that your application has access and permissions in your cell.

Download the application TeamVOX MiFi on your cell phone. You can Capture the QR code with your browser and it will take you to the Downloads site where you can choose iOS or Android as the case may be. The application can be used to register and obtain a User account for the TeamVOX Global MiFi service.

Data plans

Top-ups are credited to your User Account and you can use the balance to buy packages or browse using Bulk Data. We accept PayPal and credit cards for your convenience. You can recharge in advance and buy and activate packages using the TeamVOX MiFi application from your cell phone even while traveling the world.

Packages are activated and assigned in the order in which they are purchased. It is important to mention that loading Balance into your account does not imply the purchase of any data package in any region. You must purchase a package that will be deducted from your available balance in your account. You cannot buy packages without recharging your account.

There are several packages for each country and region and can be activated in the order in which they are purchased. If you do not want to use the package, you have 5 business days to return it from the date of purchase. Just choose the package to return and your account will be automatically credited. The only condition to return a package is that it has not been activated during these 5 business days since in case of having activity / use it is invalidated to make the return.

Your TVX-G03 comes by default with a factory account that contains a Global Data Starter pack, valid for 365 calendar days after you activate it. By activating your TeamVOX Global MiFi User account, the unused data from this initial package will be credited and it will be the active package that you can enjoy until it is exhausted. This package has priority of use over the Bulk Data mode and has no speed limitations.

As a user of the TeamVOX Global MiFi service, you can choose between purchasing packages for a specific country, regional packages for a particular area, Global packages with global validity and Bulk Data packages that vary in cost depending on where you are. is found.

In the TeamVOX MiFi application you can select the package that suits you and ensuring the lowest rate on your trips. Don't worry if the contracted package runs out, you can purchase the packages you want online and activate them as you need them.

You can also choose to use Bulk Data, with a higher rate charged to your account balance. In this case, there is a consumption cap that is set based on the region. In cases of bulk data use and when your data pack is exhausted, we apply a fair use policy that limits your connection speed to 128kbps.

On some cell phones, installed applications are constantly connecting to services where they exchange data.

It also happens that there are system updates that are downloaded and installed automatically. In both cases, data from your package is being used and therefore, your TVX-G03 device has a Data usage protection that blocks these consumptions. To activate it follow these instructions:

  • On the Start screen of your TVX-G03 select "More"
  • Search for the option "Data Protection"
  • Activate the option

It is important to know that by activating this protection, you will not be able to download and install applications from the application store. If you need to, you must disable this option by following the same steps.

If you select the Bulk Data option, the cost per MB is different according to the country where you are. The rate will be displayed in the “TeamVOX MiFi” application and will be subject to the availability of resources in the area where you are. It is important to know that in case of network saturation, users with active data packets will have resource preference over users of bulk data, which could be affected in the transmission speed limited to 128kbps. In most cases this does not happen, but if this is the case, you can choose to buy a package and activate it instead of using Bulk Data.

Each data network is different and the conditions of the network also influence to register successfully in it. Typically, when you turn on the device for the first time in a country not recently visited, the network access time is up to 10 minutes. Once the device is located and you select the best Carrier to offer you the service, the power on will take only 1-2 minutes.

On the screen of your device it indicates the amount of data remaining in the package used. If you want to know the details of your consumption, use the "TeamVOX MiFi" application to consult them.

On very rare occasions, Technical Support staff may ask you to reset the device to Factory settings. This if any abnormal situation is detected or one that increases a risk for your equipment. Please follow the instructions below:

  • On the Start screen, select the option: "More"
  • Go to the option: "About"
  • Select: “Reset to Factory settings”
  • Follow the on-screen instructions and wait for the device to finish the activity.

When there is an update available for your device, it is best to connect it to your WiFi at home and download the update package. Please follow the instructions below:

On the Home page of your TVX-G03 device select the option: "More" and then look for the option "Update". This will take you to a page where it will ask you to activate WiFi. Flip the switch to have the device search for a WiFi network. It will show you a list with the networks at your fingertips; Select your network and identify yourself in it and proceed with the Update.

Important: During the Update process, the device will turn off the Hotspot function, so the WiFi devices connected to it will no longer have connectivity.
